I hear you. Apple could emulate Google by offering even higher tiers. It’s also good to note that you can stack additional iCloud+ storage on top of an Apple One sub (e.g. for a max of 2TB + 2TB = 4TB). I agree that Apple can improve how backup works, perhaps look at how Google implements Backup and Sync.
